Upcoming 7-Week Online Book Study, “Love is the Way” by Rev. Michael Curry Carolie Owens, Minister of Music, and Rev. Debby Bartley, Senior Associate Pastor, are teaming up once again to co-facilitate an online book study. You are invited to join them as they read Rev. Michael Curry’s recent book, “Love is the Way – Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times.” Rev. Curry is the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church (If his name isn’t ringing a bell, he shared the homily at the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.) Quoting Bishop Curry, “When God, who is love, becomes our spiritual center of gravity, and love our moral compass, we live differently, regardless of what the world around us does. The world changes for the better, one life at a time. … Love can help and heal when nothing else can. Love can lift up and liberate when nothing else will.” Carolie and Debby invite you to join them on a journey of learning and reflecting on faithfully living our lives and extending God’s love and grace to all people. The book study will meet online, via Zoom, on Wednesday evenings, beginning March 3, at 7:00-8:00 pm, for 7 weeks. The book is available for purchase through your favorite online source.
