Room 301
At First St. Charles, we see many folks who are caring for a parent or spouse these days. The multiple challenges of caring for an adult can be overwhelming at times. There are day-to-day physical care, keeping up with health concerns, scheduling/transporting to appointments, safety and housing to name a few. Financial concerns, legal matters and estate planning also need attention. The care-receiver is a beloved child of God who deserves grace and respect. While we attempt to juggle all these concerns, we need to also be aware of our own strength and reserves. If you feel the need for some support, we are inviting you to attend our newly designed support group which will meet monthly. We will provide the support of being with others who share some of the same issues and offer each other occasional tips as they come up. We will also plan to invite speakers on a variety of topics of interest from time to time. Please consider yourself welcome and safe in this group to share your concerns and needs. We will be meeting on the third Tuesday of the month throughout the year at 6:30-7:30 pm in Room 301. For more information, contact Nicki Reynolds at nreynolds6@charter.net
